Ali is currently researching immersive experiences and mixed reality design in pursuit of improving the communication of complex data visualisation for his PhD study. His background is in Digital Media, Filmmaking and Computer Graphics. His primary focus at AppLab is developing Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality experiences specifically designed for teaching, learning and research.
Claudio coordinates and provides leadership on research projects exploring innovative emerging learning technologies and pedagogies. Claudio also provides academic advice and support, and supervises Masters and PhD students.
Parisa is a PhD candidate and a lecturer at Art & Design school, focusing on User Experience Design (UX) studies. Trained as an industrial designer, she has skills in Design Management, Computer Aid Design (CAD), and Marketing Management. Her primary focus at Applab is on developing digital resources and providing design solutions for the teaching and education projects.
Sophia has an extensive background in communication design, spanning over a decade and across brand, print, web and mobile. At the AppLab, she provides specialist knowledge and creative leadership in the design, development and creation of digital media concepts and solutions. Sophia holds a Master’s in Communication Studies (First Class Hons) from AUT.
